Build 0.5.67: Time Challenges!
Just added today is a new splash screen at the start of the game, allowing players to choose their own time challenge!
Options included are 30 minute, 1 hour, 3 hours, and 6 hours. Each challenge does not require you to play for that amount of time, as the time scale can be sped up while playing using SPEEDups. Thus, even a 30-minute challenge can be easily completed in one 5- to 10-minute play session.
Also, each challenge has its own respective leaderboard, allowing you to compete against your own times or those of your friends! Logins and player authentication is still handled by GDevelop's gd.games platform, but now the login/register buttons are all implemented into the game instead of using a static banner that takes up the top part of the screen.
Since I made the decision to implement a time limit into the game, I felt that for new users seeing "6 hours" as the only challenge length might seem fairly daunting, so hopefully now it won't seem so ridiculous (even though in reality the 6 hour length doesn't require you to play that long IRL).
